We were Blown-A-way by the presentation from the BHC School of Design 2nd years 2017!
Students were asked to choose one of 3 businesses for whom they needed to conceptualise, design and lay out an office space, using Entrawood’s Evolution, Elevate, Salon and Cocoon ranges. They had to consider the flow of information and people through the space catering for different activities and making the most of the available space. Other than Entrawood and Entrakor furniture they were encouraged to use chairs of their choice and to select finishes, colours and lighting to best illustrate their design concepts.
They were provided with a set office space and our furniture footprints. Everyone had to work with the same layout and furniture whilst expressing each company’s unique identity and work culture. As part of their office design they had to design a staircase and custom reception units.
Select one of the following companies:
- Woman’s Health/Men’s Health – Editors, Journalists, Photographers, Admin staff etc.
- Law Firm (PWC) – Lawyers, Paralegals, Admin staff, Attorneys, Clerks
- Ad Agency (FCB) – Developers, Directors, Admin staff etc.
We asked the students to choose and render areas (reception, employee communal space or collaboration/meeting area) to fully express/communicate your concept, however some of the students wen’t the extra mile and created a fly-through of their office. Whilst others used the opportunity to learn new 3d design programs and/or VR (Virtual Reality) software and gave me an opportunity to Virtually walk through and explore their office – so fun!
